Charles Michael Sheehan

Charles Michael Sheehan, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:50 P.M., Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Charles had worked as a tipple operator and driller at Consolidation Coal Company Burning Star #4 at Cutler for thirty years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.  He was also a member of UMW of A Local 1825, Du Quoin American Legion and Du Quoin Eagles.
He was born November 30, 1942 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Robert W. and Eileen M. (McCrary) Sheehan.

He is survived by his mother - Eileen M. Sheehan of Du Quoin, two sons - Jim Sheehan and wife Mij of Du Quoin, David Sheehan and wife Angie of Du Quoin, one daughter - Amy Sheehan of St. Louis, MO and their mother - Judy Palmer of Dongola, six grandchildren - Ryan Sheehan, Megan Sheehan, Margaret Sheehan, Andrew Sheehan, Connor Sheehan, and Anna Rose Sheehan, one brother - Robert W. Sheehan of Du Quoin, and one nephew - John Sheehan of Herrin.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother - Jack Sheehan.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
